What Does It Mean When Your Dog Does This?
Share
Dogs have their own way of talking to us without saying a word. From head tilts to zoomies to licking, every small action means something. Here’s a quick guide to what your pup might be trying to tell you:
Head Tilt
When your dog tilts their head, they’re not just trying to be cute. They are trying to understand you better, listen to your tone, pick up familiar words, or watch your face for reactions.
Zoomies
When you dog is sprinting around the house wildly, it usually means one thing: your dog feels amazing. It’s how they burn off energy and show excitement. Totally normal!!! (just keep breakables out of the way.)
Yawning
It does not always mean they are tired! Dogs yawn when they’re trying to relax or release tension. Sometimes they even “mirror” your yawn to show connection.
Leaning on You
The soft lean against your leg shows affection and trust. It’s basically their version of hugging you.
Licking
Whether it’s your face or your hand, licking often means comfort, love, or “you’re part of my pack.”
So you can see… every little action has meaning, you just have to pay attention. Once you start noticing the small stuff, you’ll realize your dog’s been chatting with you all along.
